I recently had the privilege of traveling to Arizona for an unforgettable team bonding session with Tara and my awesome colleagues, Hannah and Martin. True to her thoughtful leadership style, Tara went above and beyond, surprising us with a relaxing treat at Massage Envy and a fantastic photoshoot session that captured both our fun and focus.

The energy was high, and so was the quality of our conversations. We dove deep into the mission, vision, and purpose of CQC, exploring what drives us individually and as a team. These reflections were not only meaningful but also incredibly motivating, helping us align our goals as we continue to grow both internally and with our clients.

Reflections

Throughout the trip, one thing became clear to me- Human Resources is no longer a behind-the-scenes function. HR is front and center in shaping organizational decisions. In today’s competitive landscape, we are not just support staff, we are strategic partners. We now have a seat at the table alongside CEOs and board members, actively contributing to business decisions that impact long-term success.

I am incredibly grateful to be part of Tara’s “baby,” CQC, where people are truly at the heart of every strategy. Tara shared some truly inspiring experiences of her own with the clients and the solutions she provided. Her mantra to all her clients is simple- when you prioritize people, performance follows. Therefore, our HR solutions aren’t quick fixes, they’re designed to foster lasting engagement, retention, and organizational health.

Effective HR isn’t about hiring; it’s about building a culture where every person feels seen, supported, and empowered. In our recruiting efforts for clients, we take a holistic approach, ensuring we align talent with mission. This way, we are not only solving immediate staffing needs but also supporting long-term growth and success.

HR Transforms

This session reminded me of why I do what I do. HR has the power to transform not just teams, but entire organizations. By embedding HR in every part of our operations, from recruitment to development, we strengthen our team and amplify impact for our clients.

As we look ahead, I’m excited about the path CQC is on. We are not just building teams- we are building cultures where innovation flourishes, and purpose drives performance. And that is the kind of work that makes all the difference.
